Frank O’Conor established Ocon Chemicals Ltd. in January 1981 with the primary objective of providing an efficient personalised service to laboratories in the southern part of Ireland. With the benefit of his lengthy experience of the industry and having recently disposed of his equity interest in a previously successful laboratory supply company, the exploitation of a market niche created by the development of multi-national pharmaceutical and food industries in the area was identified.  The company’s operations base was based in Cork city where it still remains but with representation throughout Ireland & in the U.K.
