Nursing Home In October 2005 our nursing home received IOS accreditation from the EQA Director of Nursing and proprietor Deirdre MacDonnell R.G.N. M.S.Sc.Ch Dip. Gerontology Proprietor: Michael Mulhern B.A. Hdip in Ed. Deirdre and Michael ran Hillside House Nursing in Wicklow town up until 1997. They became proprietors of Dargle Valley Nursing Home in June 2001 and have made many improvements. Deirdre looks after the nursing care of the residents and strives to maintain a high standard of care and dignity. She is also a qualified chiropodist. Michael was a teacher of maths and English for 26 years and is also a qualified manual-handling instructor. He is also the health and safety officer for the home. Qualified in Fire Safety and HACCP.
