Independent Motor Engineer & Assessor

I offer a totaly independent motor assessing service. My work as an assessor is mainly with Insurance companies, retail motor dealer networks and private individual customers. While based in Dublin I operate on a countrywide basis and cover the north and west of the country from a base in Co Roscommon. I have extensive experience gained in over 25 years involvement in the motor industry. During which time I have held technical, supervisory and management roles both at retail and distributor level. I have considerable hands on experience in the examination and inspection techniques required for assessing both mechanical and accident damage in motor vehicles and I am also familiar with current insurance assessing & estimation methods. I hold membership of technical and professional bodies which are widely recognised within the motor trade, including membership of Engineers Ireland I.E.I. The Institute of Road Transport Engineers I.R.T.E, The Institute of the Motor Industry I.M.I and The Society of Operations Engineers S.O.E. (Eng Tech). I provide advice on the following: Road Traffic Accident Situations for insured and third party claims. Post repair inspections. Roadworthiness reports for reinsurance purposes. Mechanical failure investigations and reports. Vehicle valuations: including pre accident and salvage values. Vehicle conversion declarations and Taxi regulation reports I specialise in providing conciliation services in dispute situations and provide advice in arbitration and court cases where reports are prepared up to court procedure level.
