Practitioners providing counselling and workshops have completed comprehensive training programmes in Counselling and Psychotherapy to B.A. (Hons) level (or equivalent), with several years experience providing professional therapy. Professional training and experience of practitioners include Child and Adolescent Counselling, Working with Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Applied Suicide Interventions Skills Training (ASSIST), Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Humanistic and Existential Therapy, Person-Centred approach (PCC), Stress Awareness and Management, Therapeutic use of Mindfulness, Parenting Support, Health Related Problems, Chronic Illness Support, Post-Natal Depression. One of our practitioners is a qualified General Nurse who has worked in a wide range of health care settings. Our practitioners also see clients and provide workshops on a voluntary basis in community counselling centres in the Greater Dublin area. Each practitioner is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), the professional body whose function is to ensure high professional standards, and provide a code of ethics for practice. All our practitioners abide by IACP, and the William Glasser Institutes (WGII) code of professional ethics. In addition to accredited qualifications, all practitioners undertake professional supervision in relation to their clinical work. Drawing on the backgrounds of various schools of therapy, incorporating Person-centred, Humanistic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy. Practitioners offer an integrated psychotherapy approach tailored to suit each clients individual and unique needs.
