The Principal, Barbara Sherry, set up practice at Sherry McCaffery Solicitors merging her vast experience in a wide range of professions. Having spent time as a banker, she then when on to study Nursing in St. Vincents University Hospital and has worked in various specialities such as Theatre in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital and also as an I.V. Nurse and Phlebotomist in Blackrock Clinic. Barbara took time out of her Nursing career when she owned and managed a catering business/restaurant for several years.

Amongst her other academic achievements are a B.A. (Hons) in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, Affiliate membership of Institute of Personal Development, H.Dip. in Clinical Risk Management, admission to the Solicitors roll of the Law Society of Ireland and a post graduate diploma in Employment Law. Barbara is also a qualified Mediator and skilled negotiator and a member of Collaborative Lawyers Association She has completed the course run by the Law Society Certificate in Decision-Making Capacity and Support.
