Adaptable Kitchens was established in 2013 by owner, Robert Nelson. A sister company of Nelsons Kitchens – a family firm which started operating as D. Nelson & Sons in 1944 – Adaptable Kitchens provides individually designed kitchens and furniture for those with a physical or sensory disability or mobility impairment to enable independent living. Adaptable Kitchens prides itself on its customer care where individual requirements are discussed in detail, planned and met to a high standard in a personal and professional manner.   Robert Nelson Robbie has over 30 years experience of designing, manufacturing and fitting kitchens and bedroom furniture.  Having designed a number of kitchens for people with specific requirements, Robbie realised that such clients found it very difficult to source suitable standard kitchens.  Using his in-depth knowledge and experience, Robbie designed and provided custom built, functional kitchens, perfectly matching the clients’ needs and budgets.
