In our endeavour to pursue the skills and expertise of a bygone era, we have developed the skills of moulding and casting to a very high standard which enables the company to carry out prestigious restoration and conservation contracts all over Ireland, including St. Mary’s Church Clonmel, North Cathedral Cork, City Hall Cork, Muckross House Killarney, to name but a few. We are equally adept at exterior restoration, matching the original to the finest detail. We have worked with materials as diverse as old lime/mortar mixes to modern day materials such as Fibrocem (a fibre reinforced material which eliminates the need for steel reinforcement) and Jesmonite. As well as our restoration and conservation services, Capital Plaster Mouldings have also designed and developed a range of contemporary cornices, centrepieces, wall friezes, ceiling plates, niches, etc. to suit the most discerning of clients. All these items can be viewed at our showrooms in St. Patrick’s Woollen Mills, Douglas, Cork.
