The Piano Academy of Ireland enables students of all ages, levels and abilities to allow music to play an important role in their lives. With a proud passion for teaching of more than 12 years, our on-going inspiration is found in our students from all corners of Dublin and beyond and in the commitment, energy and expertise of our teachers. We are deeply dedicated, through music education, performance and appreciation, to inspiring and motivating students of all ages, enabling them to shine through music and in turn contribute to humanity. We find that one-to-one tuition is the best type of tuition to nurture the individual needs of a student as no two people are the same and each will learn in a different way. Each may also have a different goal to aim for and so a specifically designed programme is tailored for each student. It has always been our intention to offer a complete programme of musical training. Therefore, our group Musicianship classes focus on areas such as aural awareness (inner-hearing work) through singing, the understanding and writing of musical notation from very simple to more advanced and understanding the very important musical structures of scales and chords on which all music is based. These classes fill in some of those gaps of knowledge and in turn, greatly support and compliment the learning at the Piano. Other areas covered at Musicianship class include the Lives and History of the Great Composers and understanding the various elements of their style of writing, again which helps in understanding the music students are learning with their piano teacher in their one-to-one lessons.
