Acara Concepts distribute natural and ecological thermal and acoustic insulation materials. We supply PhoneStar soundproofing boards for reducing both airborne sound (e.g. talking, music noise) and impact sound (e.g. footsteps noise overhead) through walls, floors and ceilings. We also supply Hofatex wood fibre thermal insulation which can be used to very effectively insulate walls, roofs, floors and attics. These natural boards are breathable so allow water vapour to pass through the insulation without damage. They also add thermal mass to buildings which means that the insulation will store excess heat during the summer and release it at night-time as it cools. This is very effective in timber frame buildings and in converted attics. Lignotrend absorption panels absorb background noise and reduce reverberation so that speech is much clearer. These contemporary and finished panels are made from engineered timber slats with a wood fibre backing so are totally natural.
