The experience of hypnosis is similar to meditating or dreaming, a relaxing and calming state. Hypnosis uses suggestion and visualisation, among other techniques to try and bring about changes in behaviour. Its a form of therapy that can help you to change and I believe if we want to change something badly enough we will find away. If you want to change something about yourself, you have to be able to visualise or imagine it first; hypnosis allows you to rehearse how you want to be, confront any issue that may arise and then make changes on a subconscious level. Who we are is often just a result of our conditioning and it can be changed.

It takes around 30 days to form a new habit and you have to be consistent for 30 days. Try this exercise for 30 days and start saying to yourself that you are a non-smoker. Mentally rehearse how you want to be and see yourself finally leaving behind cigarettes for good.
30 Day Breathing Exercise
Most of what a smoker gets from a cigarette is air and breathing deeply triggers a natural relaxation response. In the mind of a smoker they associate the feeling of relaxation with the cigarette and not with the process of breathing deeply. You need to start the process of associating relaxation with deep breathing and not cigarettes.
Three times a day take a moment and take 3 deep breaths and allow yourself to relax. Recall the feeling of relaxation in your body as you breathe and you have now started to associate relaxation with deep breathing.
