OPENING TIMES OF LAOIS DOG POUND: Monday & Tuesday: 10:00 am - 12:45 pm Wednesday: 10:00 am - 11:00 am Thursday & Friday: 10:00 am - 12:45 pm Monday nights only: 6:30 - 8:00 pm for the public to bring in stray dogs that they have found, or to view dogs in consideration of rehoming a dog. All other times by appointment only. Laois Dog Pound/Shelter is not open on public holidays. "ON THE SPOT FINES" of 30 to all offenders, and up to 1270 if prosecuted through the District Court. Dog Licences available from your local Post Office, You must be over 16 years to hold a dog licence.
